GRE考试数学考点:Linear Equation of One Variable
Linear Equation of One Variable
An equation of one variable where the variable have unit power is called a linear equation(LE).
Example:
2x-3=8 and 3x-10=0 are both linear equations.
2x2=8 and 3x+√x=14 are not linear equations.
Remember:
In linear equation there is no square, square root, or other powers.
GRE考试数学考点:Mode
The mode of a set of numbers is the number that repeats the most in the set.
Example:
Mode of the set {1,2,3,2,4,5} is 2.
The set of numbers {1,2,4,1,2,3,6,8}has two modes:1 and 2.
Remember:
There can be more than one number with the highest repeat count. In that case all of them with the highest repeat count are modes.
